RAIN-O-MATIC SMALL is a electronic rain gauge that measures rain fall. Its is our low cost model compared to the professional and meteorological model.

RRAIN-O-MATIC is a self emptying and frostproof electronic rain gauge.

The basic idea in RAIN-O-MATIC is the rain collector’s measuring spoon being automatically tipped and emptied when the pre-adjusted water weight has been reached.

RAIN-O-MATIC is suitable for professional gardeners, agriculture, golf courses, private gardens, etc.

The Rain Collector consists of 3 parts, funnel, box and base plate, which can be easily assembled and disassembled without tools.
RAIN-O-MATIC is registering the rainfall by the water running through the collectors funnel into a self-emptying spoon.

Funnel measurements are 5 x 10 cm, and the rain is registered with a resolution of 1 mm.

The rain is running through the funnel of the rain collector into a self-emptying spoon which automatically tips and is emptied as soon as there is a certain quantity of water in the rain collector for which it has been adjusted.

The spoon is fitted with a magnet being kept in position by an anchor implying that the spoon is emptied by a quick tip – returning immediately to collecting position for collection of a new portion of water.

After one millimeter of rain, the spoon will tip and empty, and the rain fall will be shown on the device thats it connected to. That can be a LCD display, data logger or a computer.

The collector is made of STYROSUN which is a very endurable and weatherproof material resisting the suns’s UV radiation and extreme frost and heat temperatures.

The measuring method is very accurate and has a maxium deviation of +/- 2%.

The rain gauge can be delivered with a 10 m cable. The cable may be prolonged up to 20 metres.
