RAIN-O-MATIC PROFESSIONAL is a self-emptying and frostproof electronic rain gauge.

RAIN-O-MATIC PROFESSIONAL consists of an outdoor rain collector, ready for connection to a counter, data logger or computer.

The basic idea in RAIN-O-MATIC is the rain collector’s measuring spoon being automatically tipped and emptied when the pre-adjusted water weight has been reached.

The world patented self-emptying tipping spoon automatic is uniqe and places the professional rain gauge among the most accurate rain gauges.

RAIN-O-MATIC PROFESSIONAL is suitable for use in weather stations, schools, universities, professional gardeners, foresters, outdoor sport facilities, waterworks, purifying plants for sewage, and enviromental surveying stations.

RAIN-O-MATIC PROFESSIONAL is registering the rainfall by the water running through the collectors funnel into a self emptying spoon.

The spoon is fitted with a magnet being kept in position by an anchor which implies that the spoon is emptied by a quick tip returning immediately to collecting position for collecting a new portion of water.

The rain collector consists of 3 parts: funnel, box, and base plate, which can be easily assembled and disassembled without tools.

The tipping spoon and it’s magnet controlled suspension is designed in a way which makes no measuring inaccuracy even if the rain collector should not be exactly horizontally mounted.

MATERIAL

The rain gauge is made in STYROSUN, a material which has passed the Arizona test.

STYROSUN is a very endurable and weatherproof material resisting extreme frost and heat temperatures as well as the sun’s UV radiation.

PCB No. 9602 with 2 reed switches (NC—Normally closed, NO—Normally open) and Terminalstrip
